You mean, there are fish out there?
Fishing in the Outer Banks is not only relaxing, but can be quite rewarding as well. If you don’t have a NC fishing license, you will have to either buy one OR head out to one of the local piers. Why? Your license for the day is covered by admission to the pier. The easiest way to buy a license is to visit a local bait and tackle shop like TWs and get it there. These folks are also super friendly and knowledgeable about everything “fishing”. They can set you up with all the gear that is needed. Also, where to go and any techniques you may want to use. A little tidbit of information as far as fishing…the earlier the better it seems.
You can also fish on the sound side and catch a nice sunset while you’re at it. I will say I’ve had most success on the ocean side. If you are really serious about your fishing, there’s something else. It’s one of the most renowned fishing spots in the world. Head south on Hwy 12, past the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. There at Cape Point, you will more than likely find other anglers looking to get their dream catch! So, yes, there are fish out there. And more!
